Prof Dr Kazuko Kimura visits Department of Pharmacy, UAP

 

Dr Kazuko Kimura, Professor for Medi-Quality Security Institute, Graduate School of Medical Sciences, Kanazawa University (KU), Japan recently visited the Department of Pharmacy, University of Asia Pacific to present the collaborative research of last one year between KU and the Department of Pharmacy, UAP. Dr Kimura delivered a presentation in front of the faculty members of the department.

This is to be noted that Department of Pharmacy, UAP started a collaborative research with the Medi-Quality Security Institute, KU. Prof Kimura is the chief investigator of Japan whereas Prof Dr Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan is the chief investigator from Bangladesh. Prof Dr Md Selim Reza of the faculty of Pharmacy, University of Dhaka is also one of the investigators of this research. This research has been started in 2018 with the approval of DGDA and the report of one year research has been submitted to DGDA on September 04, 2019 in the meeting with the DG.

The research team also had a successful meeting with Mohamed Ramzy Ismail, WHO representative (Essential Drugs and Medicines) regarding 'Access to Quality Medicine in Bangladesh'.

During her visit to Bangladesh, Prof Kimura also visited the Drug Testing Laboratory of Bangladesh with the UAP research team.
